People really shouldn’t be allowed to write about who they are. Especially not writers. Since I haven’t quite gotten to the point of fame that would attract a biographer though, an auto-biography will have to suffice. I’ll keep it brief.
I’m a husband, father, writer, fly fishing guide, hunter, fisherman, gardener, and appreciator and creator of fine wild foods. I tie flies, ride a mountain bike, run, and read a great deal. I wander down rivers and up mountains and across wild pieces of country all over the Earth. I work pretty hard, play more than work, and tend to learn most of my lessons the hard way. My wife thinks that last part is funny. Come to think of it, lots of people laugh at me, a lot.
But if I had to boil the thing down to my life’s most basic elements they all have to do with finding ways to starve fears and feed Love, both in myself and for those I’m in any position to affect or influence. This seems to me to be the thing most worth doing.
